Jen came to yoga by way of a dear friend and since that first class she has been dedicated to it. Jen’s teacher training program, Yogadharma, is a mind, body and life practice. Of particular interest to Jen is Tibetan Heart Yoga working subtle inner energies with our physical body in poses. It is said to create a perfect whole. All we need are curiosity and patience. She honors all of her Teachers who share their hearts, strength and insight. Jen received her 1st DAN Black Belt in 2010, and became certified with Yoga Alliance RYT in 2012. In Spring 2014 Jen became certified in Childlight/Yoga 4 Classrooms with the yoga team for the West Tisbury Yoga in School program. There’s a grounding resonance that sparks dialogue from His Holiness the Dalai Lama, “If every 8 year old in the world is taught meditation, we will eliminate violence from the world within one generation…”
Tibetan Heart Flow Series
Heart Yoga flow links the inner and outer self, cultivating balance and openness- noticing how we breathe, creating space for the mind, and stretching the body with movement and poses. This gentle series is appropriate for all levels and is based on the 1,000 year old “Machine of the Body” developed by Dakini Lady Niguma. It intends to bring motivation with relaxation, help quiet the mind, and open a compassionate spirit to every effort.
