Irene received her 200hr certificate in traditional Hatha yoga in Rishikesh, India. In her classes she likes to guide students through a slow, deliberate flow to really draw attention to the relationship between movement and breathing. The tools we learn on the mat can be even more valuable to us off the mat, and Irene finds that breath-focused movement can be incredibly centering and strengthening. One of her teachers writes “your yoga practice is about your union with yourself” which is a notion Irene really trys to focus on. Irene’s hope is that students attend her class for themselves and really work on listening to themselves.
